1. Canvas Courses, Geoprocessing and Maps

The Canvas Courses Online is an interesting platform to learn something related to Marketing, English, Bussiness, Professional Web, Biology, Math, Geoprocessing and others sciences. The most important this platform is its quality and is totally free. I am learning more about Geoprocessing, spite of being graduated in Geography in University Federal of Para State (Brazil) and have worked much time in the Laboratory of Remote Sensing at Embrapa Amazônia Oriental, in my city Belém/PA. Today, I am going to share some maps made myself during two weeks. I am late in the course online of Geoprocessing, however, I am going to watch the next lessons.

The first map made myself is a classic: "Map of countries by population - 2007". The year about information is very old, but the most important were make a map using the cartographic representation "Choropleth". This map, I have scored 9.5 by grade. I was happy with the score.

I know that the best way to represent this map is through Geometric Figures, but the orientation was used "Choropleth", despite the information is quantitive.

The second map that I did was about localization of the University of West Florida in the county of Escambia, United States. It is a typical map of localization, wherein it was necessary to mapper the University of West Florida, Escambia's Cities, Rivers, Interstate, Escambia County, Santa Rosa County, State of Alabama and Hydrography too (Map 2).

All maps were prepared in ArcGIS trial, it is available in the course online. Approximately, I have spent 2 hours and 30 minutes to finish this map. Moreover, I have scored 10.0 by grade. I was very happy with the score too. So, this online course of Geoprocessing is awesome and I recommended to Geography's students and Geoprocessing's students, but it is necessary to know English and the minimum knowledge in Cartography and Geoprocessing.
